MY AMIGA
In my little domain, I currently accomodate 2 lovely amigas. They are not friends, as the old one refuses to get on with the new one as it was here first and it doesn't get used very much because it is much slower, larger plus is broken at the moment. So, for those of you who are interested, here's the specification of the old machine first, the Commodore A500+ : |
CPU: 16 Bit Motorola 68000 (working at 7.09 MHz) MEMORY: 2 MB (16 Bit) ROM: 512 KB SOUND: 8 bit "Paula" chip providing 4 independent sound channels O.S: Amiga DOS and Workbench 2.04 PLUS: A knackered power unit |
| My newer machine is a Commodore A1200. Here's the specification: |
CPU: 32 Bit Motorola 68020 (working at 15 MHz - 1Mhz faster then it should!) MEMORY: 2 MB (32 Bit) ROM: 512 KB SOUND: 8 bit "Paula" chip providing 4 independent sound channels O.S: Amiga DOS and Workbench 3.0 EXTRAS: An extra disk drive. |

Perhaps now I have two I should race them or something. Maybe I could put them in a ring together like on that episode of the original star trek where they fight each other with spikey things and the music is really cool.
IF YOU CAN THINK OF ANY NEW THINGS THAT I COULD DO WITH MY AMIGAS OR WOULD LIKE TO SEND ME A NEW POWER UNIT FOR MY A500+ THEN PLEASE EMAIL ME, AND MAYBE I'LL PUT THEM ON MY WEBSITE, PROBABLY EITHER ON THE NOTICE BOARD OR ON THIS PAGE. |
